MY SPOT AND MY TIME

MY ROOTS

This is my spot. This is where I belong. In the photo we are celebrating Midsummer in the village my grandfather was born. My other grandfather was brought up on the other side of the lake. My family has been here in southern Dalarna for generations. In this village it doesn’t matter so much what I do or what I don’t do, it matters who I am. The old way of living. A belonging that is often lost in the modern society. It is the place I always come back to, no matter what.

LISSELBACK

Just down the hill there is a small soldiers cottage from the 19th century called Lisselback. According to old tradition in Dalarna you are called by your farm name (in this case cottage name) and then your first name. So in other words; I am Lisselback Cecilia.

MY DREAM

I always dreamed about having my own brand and to realise my own design ideas. After working as a graphic specialist freelancer for many years I have finally taken the step to try. I am longing back to textiles which is my educational background. My vision is to combine traditional womens’ craft in timeless design. Equality for everyone is important for me and it shows in my design. I am so excited to have the chance to try. Follow me on my journey, it has only just started.
